What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and optional access code. When you connect your accounts, we may access financial data (via Plaid), calendar events (via Google Calendar), and email metadata (via Gmail). Only what's needed to generate your investor updates and CRM.
How we use your data
Your data is used exclusively to power AlphaFounder's features: generating investor updates, building your CRM pipeline, preparing meeting briefs, and delivering your daily financial pulse. We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train AI models.
Financial data (Plaid)
We use Plaid to securely connect to your bank accounts. Plaid provides read-only access to transaction and balance data. We store financial summaries (revenue, expenses, cash balance, runway) but do not store raw bank credentials. You can disconnect Plaid at any time.
Discord
AlphaFounder operates primarily through Discord. When you join our server, we store your Discord user ID to link your account. Messages you send to the bot in DMs are processed to generate your updates and manage your CRM. We do not read messages in public channels.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored in encrypted databases. Each founder's AI workspace runs in an isolated environment. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections, access controls, and regular security reviews.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your data is deleted within 30 days. You can request immediate deletion by contacting us at privacy@alphafounder.ai.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate AlphaFounder: Plaid (financial data), Google APIs (calendar and email), Discord (communication), Stripe (payments), and OpenRouter (AI model routing). Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.
